Introduction

This "LTD Stirling Project" is a swiss initiative dedicated to the promotion the development of Low Temperature Difference Stirling engines. Such engines could be driven by solar thermal energy and convert a fraction of heat into electric power. We focus our attention on a system which is a domestic combined heat and power (CHP) unit. This technology could have a significant effect upon worldwide energy consumption.
