This "LTD Stirling Project" is a swiss initiative dedicated to the development of a Low Temperature Difference Stirling engine. The engine is driven by solar thermal energy and converts a fraction of heat into electric power (1kWe nominal). This system is a domestic combined heat and power (CHP) unit, which could have a significant effect upon worldwide energy consumption. This project focus on the development of a functional prototype within one year at limitted costs. Concept and application of the LTD Stirling. |
